The etchKit panel has two settings that control how the library is displayed: the view mode (how cards look) and the layout mode (how much space the panel takes). You can combine them however you want.
Both preferences are saved automatically and restored the next time you open the panel.
View mode #
The view toggle switches between two ways of displaying library cards.
List view stacks cards vertically. Each card shows a small wireframe preview on the left with the name and description next to it. Good for scanning through many items quickly.
Grid view displays cards in a 2-column grid with larger wireframe previews. Better when you want to visually compare items or when the wireframes help you identify what you need.
Layout mode #
The layout toggle controls how much screen space the panel occupies.
Sidebar mode opens the panel as a 420px sidebar on the left side of the builder. The Etch canvas stays visible next to it, so you can keep working while browsing the library.
Full-width mode expands the panel to fill the entire builder width. You lose sight of the canvas, but you get more room for previews and detail views. This is where features like the resizable live preview and viewport presets (Mobile, Tablet, Full) become available.
If you mostly copy and paste components quickly, sidebar mode is faster. If you want to inspect previews and compare items before choosing, full-width gives you the space.
